Edmund Deberry Papers, . 1829-1867

Edmund Deberry was a United States Representative from North Carolina, first as a National Republican, 1830-1831, and later as a Whig, 1834-1843. The collection includes scattered political and family correspondence including typed copies of addresses to Deberry's constituency and letters concerning his career and national issues, especially tariffs, campaigns (circa 1830), both state and national, and Native American affairs.
